Life is hard… but, life is also great!
– What is something we don’t talk enough about?
– “Just how hard everything is. Keeping my head above water on a daily basis is my biggest challenge, but no-one ever says anything. It’s as if we’re expected to sail through life – through school, achieving high grades, and then manage to do well at university while somehow make a name for ourself so that we get a decent chance at a job we might actually enjoy. What’s wrong with the fact that I don’t know what I want to do? Why does no-one ever tell us it’s okay to feel sad?”
One of my favourite books is titled “The Road Less Travelled” by M. Scott Peck. The first sentence in the book is: “Life is difficult.”

Check out a great $28 dress!
I would have to say that 90% of the time I go into my local fabric store and just buy fabric with no real project in mind. Sometimes its because they are having a buy one- get one 1/2 off sale. Or sometimes it’s because one of my favorite designers, like Leah Duncan or Joel Dewberry, have released a new collection and I want to get it before it’s gone. But on this particular trip to Five Eighth Seams, I saw this pink fabric with gold dots from Michael Miller’s Glitz collection and I knew exactly what it was meant for. And why is that? Because it looked exactly like the fabric I recently saw in this Lilly Pulitzer dress:
