Apologies

Your VBA Administrator – that’s me – has been absent for a long while. Essentially, I’ve been writing novels and not paying much attention to WordPress as a result. Also, the editing face of WordPress has changed and I am still making my way around. Figuring out how to find and approve comments took about six minutes!

So, I apologize.

I will try to do better.

Thanks for visiting.

Also, I want to apologize to those who have received “poor” star ratings on your wonderful blog posts — I have a “troll” who has followed you here from another of my blogs. Don’t let it bother you too much — he/she has a heart of stone.

Too funny!

Ask Gene Hackman

I made this comic for a very nice person, Joe Wilson who creates great short films. Joe is creative and supports me and gives me advice. You should do the same for him, especially the advice part, he wears black socks with sandals. FT šŸ˜› Here is his link:

A Tornado? Here?

Tornado in November?

Which Way Now 101

ā€œ . . . high winds . . . 12:00 . . . headed this way . . . possible tornado . . . till 3:00 . . . some heavy rain . . .ā€

I stared wide eyed at the park ranger on the beach talking to our neighbor. ā€œDid you get all that?ā€ he asked when he turned my way.

A tornado watch! We were aware that the hurricane season is over at the end of November, but a tornado season? Checking a Florida disaster website, I discovered that there are two tornado seasons in Florida. The summer season ends in September and the Deadly Spring Season (yes, folks, that’s what it’s called) starts in February. Where does that leave us in December?

It leaves us on a tiny scrap of land called Long Key, where one could sprint – if one was capable of sprinting, and there…

Advice From A Mountain

Advice from a mountain? Yes, and pretty good advice, too.

300 Word Limit

IMG_2454Reach new heights

Savor life’s peak experiences

There is beauty as far as the eye can see

Stand in the strength of Your True Nature

Be uplifting

Follow the trails of the Wise Ones

Protect and preserve timeless beauty,

silence, solitude, serenity,

flowing rivers,

ancient trees.

Rise above it all

Make solid decisions

Climb beyond your limitations

Leave no stone unturned

Never take life for granite

Get to the point

Patience, patience, patience

Life has its ups and downs

Let your troubles vanish into thin air

To summit all up

It’s the journey step by step

Rock on!

Mugshots are ugly

One of the best “I got a Versatile Blogger Award” announcements I’ve read!

We Live In A Flat

What is an ugly picture?

How about a mug shot? After all such pictures possibly personify best what is ugly in human society.

Daily Prompt: Shape up or ship out/Ugly

The following is a Versatile Blogger Award response masquerading as a fictitious news article. šŸ˜›

Singapore – Donna the local mongrel who was previously turned in for investigation by the authorities for the first suspected unlicensed protest to be staged by a dog in this country has fled. It is rumoured that the dog police whispered in embarrassment the statement that Donna the local mongrel, made her escape when wardens let her out in the yard to read her pee-mail. The authorities do not have an answer as to why the local mongrel held in custody should have access to pee-mail or any kind of communications with the dog network. They have refused to comment for this news report.
